Having recently taken off his red fedora, we’re pleased to announce that Markus Eisele started at Lightbend today as our new Developer Advocate.
Markus is a Java Champion, former Java EE Expert Group member, Java community leader of German DOAG, founder of JavaLand, speaker at Java conferences around the world, and a well-known figure in the Enterprise Java world. You may have seen him at different conferences and Java User Group meetups, read his blogs or are follow him via social media.
Markus has been talking about enterprise-grade Java for the future, with a focus on the latest trends in building enterprise systems in a Reactive way with Java. He's been especially looking into Microservices architectures and containers more deeply, and also wrote a book about modern Java EE Design Patterns with O’Reilly.
Going forward, he is excited to educate more Java organizations about how Microservices can integrate and complement existing platforms, as well as how to successfully build message-driven, resilient, elastic and ultimately responsive applications in Java.
