Cancellation and No Show Policies

Once a booking has been confirmed by both parties, the training course or consulting engagement (“booking”) will be considered confirmed. Review the policies below to ensure you do not incur any cancellation or no show penalties against confirmed bookings.

General Cancellation Policies

Dedicated Onsite Training or Consulting

A cancellation or postponement of a confirmed onsite training or consulting booking date may be made with up to ten (10) business days prior to the start of the scheduled booking. Any unrecoverable billable travel expenses will be assessed to the customer regardless of when a cancellation or postponement is requested (e.g.: airfare change fees). A cancellation or postponement of a scheduled onsite booking date made within ten (10) days prior to the first day of the scheduled onsite booking will be assessed 100% of the total cost of the scheduled onsite booking. Dedicated Remote/Online Trainings or Consulting

A cancellation or postponement of a confirmed remote training or consulting date may be made with no penalty up to five (5) business days prior to the start of the scheduled remote booking. A cancellation or postponement of a scheduled remote training or consulting date made within five (5) days prior to the first day of the scheduled booking will be assessed 100% of the total cost of the lesser of the entire confirmed booking or the first five (5) days of the booking. Public Instructor-Led Online Events

A cancellation or postponement of an enrollment in a public online instructor-led event may be made with no penalty up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start of the scheduled training. A cancellation or postponement of a scheduled public online instructor-led event made within twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start time of the scheduled training will be deemed a “no-show”. No-shows for confirmed registrations will be assessed 100% of the list price of the scheduled public online instructor-led event. You can manage your registrations and withdraw from a class by contacting us directly at bookings@lightbend.com.

Public Instructor-Led Classroom Events

A cancellation or postponement of an enrollment in a regional classroom event may be made with no penalty up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start of the first day of the scheduled training. A cancellation or postponement of a scheduled regional classroom event made within twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start time of the first day of the scheduled training will be deemed a “no-show”. No-shows for confirmed registrations will be assessed 100% of the list price of the scheduled regional classroom event. Other Policies

Training Event Schedules

Public class schedules are subject to change without notice based on minimum attendance requirements. Please check class schedules frequently at lightbend.com. Lightbend may cancel scheduled public classes up to ten (10) days prior to the scheduled start of the class for instructor-led classroom event or three (3) days for instructor-led online event, if certain attendance minimums aren't met. In most instances, a minimum of five (5) attendees per class is required for a class to be held.

Customer Travel Costs

Lightbend will not be responsible for reimbursing prepaid customer travel costs. It is recommended that customers who elect to incur travel costs for a booking, schedule and purchase airfare and hotel accommodations with this in mind.

Refund Policy

Except for the cancellation policy described above, all payments and fees are nonrefundable. It is expected that clients will assess the appropriateness of a training event or consultative offering by reviewing the descriptions and schedules in advance of purchase or registration.

Expiration Policy for Professional Services

Pre-paid services (Ex. Service Credits) expire at the end of your subscription term.
